Governance

The Mannu Kala Foundation is established under the Main Fund of Australian Communities Foundation (ACF), a registered charitable trustee with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.

Under this structure, Australian Communities Foundation provides full fiduciary and compliance oversight, ensuring all donations, grants and financial activities are managed in accordance with Australian charity law and regulatory requirements.

The Mannu Kala Foundation Board provides governance oversight, strategic direction and philanthropic leadership. The Board is responsible for:

Setting the vision, priorities and funding focus of the Foundation

Recommending grant allocations aligned with the Foundation’s mission

Ensuring funding decisions support measurable community impact

Maintaining alignment with the Foundation’s values and charitable objectives

As trustee, Australian Communities Foundation administers the Fund, including financial management, compliance, due diligence and grant distribution to eligible charitable organisations.

This governance model ensures the Mannu Kala Foundation operates with strong financial stewardship, regulatory compliance and transparent impact-driven giving.
