FOUNDER’S VISION
Mannu Kala Foundation
Mannu Kala came to Australia from India with little more than determination, resilience, and a dream to build a better future. Through hard work and perseverance, he went on to become a successful healthcare entrepreneur, building businesses that now employ thousands of people across Australia.
But Mannu has never forgotten the challenges he faced along the way. Like many aspiring students, the financial barriers to higher education once stood in his own path. That experience shaped a deep belief that talent and ambition should never be limited by circumstance.
Through the Mannu Kala Foundation, Mannu is committed to removing those barriers and creating opportunities for the next generation. In partnership with Griffith University, the Foundation has made a transformative commitment to support future medical students.
Over the next eight years, this investment will help nurture Queensland’s future doctors. The scholarship program will support a cohort of talented medical students by covering tuition fees for several final-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) students and providing financial assistance to others from the beginning of their four-year degree. In total, nine students will benefit from the program.
For Mannu, the vision is simple but powerful: to ensure that the brightest young people who aspire to become doctors have a fair chance to pursue their dreams, regardless of their background.
